GOOOOOD MORNIN! Happy FREAKIN Monday! How was your weekend? Did you do some fun stuff? Hang with the family? Eat some good food? Hopefully you engaged in some of that! Those are the spices of life! Gotta live it up sometimes!
For the writers out there, I hope NaNoWriMo is going tremendously for you. I am a little behind, just under the 10,000-word mark which puts me about 7,000 under where I should be. HOWEVER, I busted out a couple thousand words this morning and I have designated times this week to really get caught up and ahead.
I am trying something a little different with this post. I usually stick to topics around writing, but I have other stuff on my mind as well that I want to share! If you like the diversity in topics, or if you hate it, PLEASE leave a comment on this post. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Side note, I did my first author event this weekend. It was an author fair / book signing and it was a whole hell of a lot of fun! I am looking to do a lot more like that so if you know of any events I could attend please let me know!
Alright, COME ON, the topic! Let’s go! I know, I know, I’m getting there. Okay, here it is.
I am going to give the Keto Diet a shot. I would like to ask, if you have tried this diet before, that you leave me a note below letting me know about your experience.
I know quite a few people who have done this, and I have heard nothing but good things about this!
Aside from wanting to drop a few LBS, I am told that this program drastically improves energy and removes energy crashes caused by insulin spikes. I am very interested in both aspects!
I am always on the go and always working on something so energy is paramount for me and if I can have more of it, while losing a little mass and have no crash by eating a ton of meat (plus some other stuff) to me that sounds like a win-win-win scenario!
Overall health is also a top priority in my life. I realize just how little time we have here and there is an endless list of things that I want to do and see. I want to be around for a good long while to enjoy this amazing thing!
I am hoping that this program might get me on some sort of balance as I have been on a sort of roller-coaster for the last few years. Some FREAKIN consistency would definitely be a good thing.
Another pro that I see with this diet is the removal of unnatural sugar and processed foods. There is way too much of both in most of the foods that we consume, ESPECIALLY the food that I consume! LOVE pizza, pasta, burgers…..you get the point I think.
I am interested to see how this little experiment will effect my overall feel. I have to believe that by removing some of those things from my day-to-day consumption I am going to fell much better overall.
That is really it today! Not a real long post, just a little update on life and what I am doin. As I wrote above, PLEASE drop me a note here and let me know if you like the differing topics or if you prefer I stick to one!
Also let me know if you have had experience with Keto and any tips you may have for it! It is brand new to me, but I am excited to give it a try and I will be happy to post my findings in a future post.
I will end with this, try something different today! Do something out of the ordinary that will improve your life in some way, even if it just gives you something new to focus on and accomplish!
I think you will find that your happiness improves drastically when you are progressing, improving or growing! Go after what you want today, there is no better time to get started and as cliché as that reads, it’s the truth! Get moving!
