GOOOOOOOD FREAKIN MORNIN! I hope you had a nice weekend. Hopefully you got some things accomplished, spent some time with family and/or friends, and got some decent rest! Rest is important. It really is, especially if you’re always on the go. Very important to recharge.
For the writers, NaNoWriMo is still rolling! I will be honest, I am behind. HOWEVER, don’t think for a second that this means I will not be winning NaNo because I WILL! OH YES! I am actually shooting for around 60,000 words not 50,000 so I am just a little over a quarter of the way through.

Alright, here we go, today’s big topic. The state of Tyler Porter Books address! I have been getting some questions recently about what I have going on, what is coming soon and what to expect in 2020 so here we go.
1. Two More Books Finished Before Year End
Oh yes, you read it right. I just released my second novel, Vengeance Before Virtue on October 29th. If you haven’t read that yet, you can get a copy right HERE. BUT WAIT! This book is a sequel to my debut novel, Love Before Law which you can get FOR FREE right HERE!!!
I am currently writing the third book in the series as we speak, and it will be finished in the next week and a half. That novel will be released sometime mid-December, but the exact date is TBA.
I also have another book that is not part of the Love Before Law series about half finished. The story there is that I had started working on a totally different project after releasing Love Before Law, but after an overwhelming number of requests for a sequel, the other project was put on hold.
That book is called Count to Three and is a psychological thriller told from the perspective of a serial killer as well as the perspective of the detective hunting him. It is intense, twisted and adrenaline producing! It should be a fun one to finish up. That one will likely be released in early January.
2. Progress of the First Two Books
After writing and publishing two novels I have learned a hell of a lot. One thing I have learned is that I LOVE SELF PUBLISHING. I love being in control of the entire process start to finish and beyond. While I will never close the door on traditional publishing completely, I see myself continuing to self-publish for the foreseeable future.
My first book, Love Before Law, and again I must mention that it is FREE! You can get your copy by clicking RIGHT HERE, was relatively successful for being my first book. Over 700 people have either downloaded the ebook or purchased the paperback.
I could not be more pleased with how this book has done and the feedback I have gotten. It has truly been amazing and if you are one of those people, THANK YOU! It can be an intimidating thing to push something like that out into the world and you have made it wonderful so thank you.
Vengeance Before Virtue has also been received very well, particularly by readers of the first book. It is a direct sequel and picks up exactly where the first ended as to tie up some loose ends. This book is still finding its stride and while it has not surpassed the amount of readers that Love Before Law has had, I think it is well on its way!
3. 2020 – What’s in store
To make it short and sweet, AT LEAST six more books including a brand-new series! I have been working on plans for a new series for next year and at least a couple of the books in that series will be released in 2020. This series is built around a concept that I believe has legs for a whole lot of books.
To me, it seems to be a story that could go on for a long while. I love the idea that I could have a series that I can go back to when I feel the desire, but not one that I have to only work on books for that series.
I think some authors fall into a trap of only writing for one series and then they get cut off a little bit from venturing into new territory. This will be a series where I will be able to write a couple of books and then write something different and come back to it when the time is right.
As I mentioned above, Count to Three will likely be released in early January to kick off the year. I have not yet decided if that will be a stand alone novel or the start of a series. I am going to see how it is received and see if a sequel is requested and go from there.
I also have ideas for other stand-alone novels and would love to try my hand at writing in a different genre. Maybe fantasy or romance! I have not decided any of that yet, but believe me I have all sorts of ideas.
I will also be launching a YouTube channel here soon. I am not sure still if that will launch before or after the end of 2019, but I will keep everyone informed on that front!
I have also had several people reach out for advice and consultation in writing their own books or running a side business. I love helping others wherever I can!
