GOOD. FREAKIN. MORNING. It has been a hot damn minute since I’ve put up a post and for that I apologize. If it’s any consolation, there have been some big things going on in my life! If you know me personally, you have likely already heard some of this. If you don’t, you may not even care, but just in case I will share anyways!

I’M ENGAGED! Oh, it’s true, it’s damn true. I proposed to the love of my life Kelsey (soon-to-be) Porter just after the clock struck midnight on New Year’s. She responded with an emphatic yes and since then we have been caught up in the whirlwind that is wedding planning as my non-negotiable was that the wedding take place this year.

I’m certainly not going to tell someone else what kind of timeline they should have for their marriage or wedding. That is something that everyone needs to do their own way. For me though, I don’t trust long engagements.

I’m not what you would call a superstitious person, however, I have watched far too many long engagements fall apart! Or I have people tell me “Oh, yeah I’m engaged. We don’t have a date yet or any plans of making one, but we will do it eventually.” What’s the point then?

If I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna do it! No waiting around. No asking her to marry me only to let her know that I plan to actually say the words in anywhere from five to ten years down the line. No, no, no.

Beyond the engagement, we recently moved into a new apartment. I have also just launched my newest book, the third in the Love Before Law series, Rage Before Redemption! If you haven’t read it yet, you can grab a copy right HERE!

I have also been working to get my very first book, Love Before Law, converted into audio format. If you are a traditional reader and prefer to have the physical copy of a book AND if you haven’t read this one yet, please consider picking up a copy right HERE!

Additionally, if you prefer eBooks, you can actually get yourself a FREE copy of this book by going to my website right HERE! The audio version is due to be completed today and I hope to have it available in the next week or two for purchase!

Aside from those things, I have been hard at work on my next book which I have titled Eyes Never Lie. This will be my best book yet, there is no doubt whatsoever. It is in the final stages and I hope to announce a launch date very soon!

This new story is a standalone and is told from two different perspectives. That of a serial killer who is obsessed with being acknowledged as well as that of Sergeant Casey Norris, the lead detective assigned to the case. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear to Norris that the killer’s main target is him.

Those closest to him become victims of circumstance. Pawns in the killer’s game and their deaths serving no purpose other than getting the attention of Sgt. Norris. As the chase ensues, and evidence starts to add up, Norris realizes the killer is someone even closer to him than those being killed. He is then faced with the deadliest challenge of his life. Stop the killer, or die.

That’s it, that’s what’s going on with me and those are the things that I have been working on during my hiatus. I know that in the past my goal has been a new blog post every week day and I think that is a great goal, but I also realize that it is an incredibly ambitious goal.

Going forward, I won’t promise to achieve this as I am not one to break my word. I will, however, aim for a daily post and do what I can to hit that target!

Thank you for your continued support, it means more than you know and I look forward to continuing to bring you good content and better stories for a long time to come!
